Durahold offers two levels of non-slip protection: It prevents your rugs from slipping on your floors and it prevents your rug from slipping off of the actual pad.
The U.S. Patent protects the distinct texture within Durahold's upper and lower surfaces: Upper Felt Surface:The felt contains a very significant and unique texture meant to grab and hold the rug to the actual pad. This prevents lateral movement in any direction and avoids the pad from slipping off of the pad.
Lower Rubber Surface:A distinct hexagonal pattern within the rubber acts like a suction cup on your floor - This prevents any area rug from slipping on any hardwood or hard floor surface, resulting in maximum non slip function.

Durahold is comprised of densely needle punched felt that is compressed into a full 48 ounces. This means that no amount of pressure, weight or stress can push and penetrate through the pad to the floor.
